Unlocking the bootloader

1. Download PlatForm Tools Folder

2. Now extract the Platform-tools zip file.

3. Now switch off your device and enter into fastboot mode by pressing Volume down + Power Button and connect your phone to PC/laptop via USB Cable.

Warning: Unlocking the bootloader will erase all data on your device! Before proceeding, ensure the data you would like to retain is backed up to your PC and/or a online drive.

1. Enable OEM unlock in the Developer options under device Settings, if present.
2. Connect the device to your PC via USB.
3. On the computer, open a command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window, and type:

    adb reboot bootloader
   

4. Once the device is in fastboot mode, verify your PC finds it by typing:

    fastboot devices
   

5. Now type the following command to unlock the bootloader:

    fastboot oem unlock
   

6. Alternately on some devices to unlock the bootloader you may need to type the command:

    fastboot oem unlock-go    
   

7. Check if the device has been unlocked by typing the following command in command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window. The output will display a message similar to ‘Device unlocked: true’:

    fastboot oem device-info    
   

8. If the device doesn’t automatically reboot, reboot it. It should now be unlocked.
9. Since the device resets completely, you will need to re-enable USB debugging to continue.
