Taking customisation to the next level

If you thought CyanogenMod was the best customisable ROM ever available for Android, then you are in for a treat. Havoc-OS takes customisation to the next level. The custom ROM is a beast when it comes to customisation. You can change almost anything on your device. If it exists, it is customisable.

Battery saving

Almost all phones have a battery saver application that gets activated automatically when the battery falls below 15-20% or you can even switch it on manually. In Havoc however, you get multiple features to do so. One such feature is ‘Sensor block per-package’. You can switch it on manually. What this feature does it that it essentially blocks the access to certain sensors on your phone for certain apps, which saves battery. Another feature is ‘Alarm blocker’, which prevents certain applications from waking up your phone when you get notifications. Using these battery saving features can sometimes give you a massive boost in screen-on times.

Quick Settings

Quick settings can be accessed by pulling the notification shade further down. Most Android skins allow you some basic quick settings including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mobile data toggles, etc. Havoc-OS, on the other hand, can offer you multiple quick setting toggles, and even some features that wouldn’t previously exist on your device like screen recording (which can be accessed from the quick settings).

Android 10 just dropped today for Google Pixel devices, but it’ll probably be a while before most devices get the update. Breaking that tradition, though, is the Essential Phone, as usual, and Xiaomi’s Redmi K20 Pro with day one Android 10 updates.

It should come as no surprise that the Essential Phone is getting Android 10 on day one. While there’s no second generation (yet, hopefully), the device has consistently picked up security patches, beta releases, and major updates within days or even hours of Google’s Pixel lineup. Truly, this struggling startup is showing the rest of the industry how it’s done.

As per usual, Essential’s update doesn’t differ much from what Google is offering. Users can expect gesture navigation, a system-wide dark mode, and much, much more when the update hits their devices.

The Android 10 update is rolling out now for “Open Market” customers but should be available for all Essential Phone users in the coming days. The update is roughly 1GB in size.

Surprisingly Xiaomi released stable version of Android Q for Redmi K20 Pro but the file available for download is not compatible with TWRP or even with fastboot so i have modified the latest version 10.4.7.0 (Android Q official) so that it can be installed from TWRP recovery

Instruction

1. Install OrangeFox Recovery – DOWNLOAD
2. Wipe Data, Dalvik and Cache
3. Put the file into your internal storage and the flash.
4. Reboot (For First boot it takes upto 40-50 sec to show splash screen after upgrade from Android 9 to 10 )
